Of Sherman, PA

Mary D. (Clague) Broad, of Sherman, PA and graduate of Deposit Central School in Deposit, NY, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at home with loving family by her side. She was 64 years old.

Mary was predeceased by her parents Herbert and Elizabeth Clague, sisters Lynda VanValkenbergh and Christine Whitmore, father-in-law Ronald Broad Sr. along with many nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years Ronald Broad Jr., son Kenny Broad and wife Michelle, son Kevin Broad and wife Genny, her seven grandsons, Gavin, Landyn, Ryder, Gannon, Cameron, Leland, and Chase.

She is also survived by her sister Susan Lee and brother-in-law Robert and brother Joey Clague, mother-in-law Jackie Broad, sister and brother-in-law Debbie and Lewis Towner, sister-in-law Cindy Broad, special cousins Penny Conklin and Jenny Dufton along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins who she loved with all her heart.

Mary was strong, hardworking and independent. She loved playing and watching sports. Mary loved the Yankees and 49ers, and of course her dog Kobie who she spoiled. Halloween was her favorite holiday, and she loved Michael Jackson. Her favorite pastimes were camping at Pinecrest, vacationing in Ocean City, MD, and being part of the Splinters softball team.

Her family would like to thank the Hospice Caregivers for their wonderful care of Mary and taking time each visit to talk and answer any questions her family had. A special thank you to nephew and niece-in-law Austin and Jonnie Fineout who were always available to help care for Mary when needed.

May you finally rest in peace. You will truly be missed by all that knew you.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
