Mary Cizike

Mary Cizike Of Susquehanna, PA       Mary (Penyak) Cizike, 87 passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 21, 2018.   She was the middle child of Veronica (Kalinich) and Peter Penyak. Mary was born and raised in Scranton, PA and graduated from Technical High School. Following High School Mary married Andrew Cizike in 1950. They had 2 children Cynthia & Andrew. She had several jobs including running the Cizike Dress Shop on Main St. Susquehanna, but her favorite was being the Switch Board Operator at the Barnes Kasson Hospital in Susquehanna, PA. Her final days were spent at Gracious Living Estates where she was recovering from recent heart surgery in hopes of regaining enough strength to return home.   Mary was predeceased by her mother and father; brother Joseph and sister Irene. She is survived by her son Andrew Cizike of Great Bend, PA; daughter Cynthia & Joe Kulikauskas of Longmont, CO; grandchildren Philip & Sarah Kulikauskas of Lafayette, CO and Justin & Molly Kulikauskas of Carrboro, NC.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 10am at St. John the Evangelist Church in Susquehanna, PA.   Interment will be held in St. John’s Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA.   The family will receive friends at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA on Monday, May 28, 2018 from 6 to 8pm.   In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. John Evangelist Church, 15 East Church St. Susquehanna, PA.
