Mary M. Stackowitz Of Susquehanna, PA Mary M. Stackowitz, 72, of Susquehanna, PA, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2014, after an illness at the Barnes Kasson Hospital, Susquehanna, PA. Mary was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Catherine McAuliffe; one sister Maureen McAuliffe; and dear friend MaryAnn “Migs” Ayres. Mary was survived by her loving husband of 49 years John R. Stackowitz Sr.; two sons John R. Stackowitz Jr, and Jerome T. Stackowitz; one daughter and son-in-law Jacqueline L. and Ellis Lair; one grandson Thomas M. Golka; three sisters Catherine Adornato, Jeanne Marie McAuliffe and Patricia Testa; dear friends Lillian Klym, Carol Cook, and Gerry and Carolyn Gow; her cat Bert; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mary was a member of the St. John’s Catholic Church, in Susquehanna, PA. She also spent time serving on the Susquehanna Borough Town Council. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at the St. John’s Church in Susquehanna, PA, on Saturday, September 6, 2014, at 11am with Rev. David Cramer officiating. The family will receive friends at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA, on Friday, September 5, 2014, from 4 to 7pm.
