Michael Lee Cyphers Of Lanesboro, PA Michael L. Cyphers,70, passed away at his home on Saturday, November 19, 2016, at 3:40a.m.,attended by his loving wife of 28 years,Sandra, and his devoted step-daughter Billie Jeanne Burry. Michael fought a valient battle against the formidable adversary of Cancer but was not the Victor. He was predeceased by his parents and identical twin brother Peter Cyphers in 2008. Michael is survived by his wife Sandra Plunkett-Cyphers Lanesboro, Pa.;, step son Captain John J. Plunkett, USCG (retired), Friendswood, Texas;, step-daughters; Evelyn Hardy, Binghamton, NY, Cassandra Fowler, Tunkhannock, PA, and Billie Jeanne Burry, Meshoppen, PA, and sister Mary Elizabeth Pace-Cyphers, Houston, TX, and 22 grandchildren. This gentle man traveled the world in the service of his country, in the US Navy serving 2 tours of duty in Vietnam. He was retired from the US Navy in 1990 after 22 years of service. Michael met his wife Sandra in 1988 and they married in that year. Upon his discharge from the Navy in 1990 he resided in Lanesboro with his new family. He was a member of the American Legion and the NRA. Michael loved his family, his faithful friend “Teddy” (his little yorkie) who expired 3 weeks prior to Michael's death. He loved taking cruises with his wife Sandi, he loved his 17 grandchildren and his Dallas Cowboys.But most of all,Michael loved his devoted wife Sandra and the family they created together. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
