Michael J. Papusha Sr. Of Susquehanna, PA Michael Papusha Sr. 52, of Susquehanna, PA, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 31, 2014, at the Binghamton General Hospital. Michael was born in Hancock, NY. He was predeceased by his mother Thelma Halstead Burns and his step father Charlie Burns; and half-brother Mitch Papusha. He was survived by his loving wife of 5 years Joyce (Compton) Papusha; two sons Michael Jr. and David Papusha; daughter Beth Papusha; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a niece and nephew; many great nieces and nephews; half-sister, one uncle Howard Halstead; one aunt Virginia Halstead Shay; mother-in-law “Gram”; one sister-in-law; two brother-in-laws; and a very close adopted mother and aunt. Michael was involved in the volunteer fire service most of life, having been a member of the Chemical Engine Company, the Susquehanna Fire Department, and a current member of the Thompson Hose Company. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Most of all Michael enjoyed spending time with his family who will miss him dearly. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014, at 6pm, at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 6pm.
