Milton Franklin Woodruff Jr.
Of Susquehanna, PA
Milton F. Woodruff Jr., 82, a loving husband, father, grandfather “Pops” and great grandfather passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Barnes Kasson Hospital, Susquehanna, PA.
Milton was a veteran of the United States Army (PFCES). He worked at Canron Steel Company until his retirement. Milton was a a fixer upper, he loved working on anything he could find spending time in his garage. He took love and joy in his garden and flower beds. He also had an adoring love of Western shows especially his favorite Walker-Texas Ranger. He had become an avid bird watcher, named his hummingbirds and had choice words for the chipmunks. We would love to say he loved Charlie Brown but not really it was a long-time family joke.
Milton was predeceased by his loving wife Virginia Woodruff, parents Milton Woodruff Sr. & Cecile Tuttle, sisters Doris Major, Patricia Holbrook, Jean Maggio, and his brother Leon Woodruff.
He is survived by his children Kimberly & Jim Wademan, Duane Woodruff, Lisa & David Conroy, and Amy & Jeff Krall. He loved and adored all his 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Christina Sheriden, Lucrezia Warner, Betti (Donald) Niles, Carol (Edward) Nelson, Ida (John) Knapp; brothers Carl-Butch (Irene) Woodruff, Phillip Woodruff, Larry (Arlene) Noyes, Fletcher (Rosemary) Noyes.
Milton will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the 2nd floor Med-Surge at Barnes Kasson Hospital for their kindness and care as well as the kitchen staff at Barnes Kasson and Dr. B. Patel.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 11am till 2pm at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA.
