Nancy Jeanette Sexton

May 9, 1944 — July 5, 2020

Nancy J. Sexton Of Deposit, NY Nancy Jeanette Sexton (née Jacobson), 76, entered into her glory July 5, 2020. Nancy was born May 9, 1944 to Isaac and Dorothy Jacobson of Downsville, NY. Growing up, Nancy was an avid clarinet player and her love of music continued throughout her life, through writing poetry and song lyrics, being a member of ASCAP or singing to her grandchildren. Nancy was also Elvis’ number one fan. She married Wayne Sexton on June 15, 1963. Together, they raised 4 children, which were Nancy’s pride and joy. She esteemed her role as wife and mother in the highest regard, and her love for her family was fierce and enduring. Nancy will be remembered for her delicious apple pie, reading the Bible to her children and instilling a love for the Lord, her love for Christmas (and all the holidays) where she was with her beloved family, her knowledge of canning produce, hamburgers for breakfast...and one pesky lawn chair. Nancy was pre-deceased by her parents, Isaac and Dorothy Jacobson, as well as her brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Nadine Shaw. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Wayne and their children: Dave (Anita) Sexton, Dan (Melissa) Sexton, Jim (Brenda) Sexton and Cherry (Bob) Matthews, as well as her 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, all who held an extra-special place in her heart. Surviving also are her sister, Mary Kathleen Bradtke, brother-in-law Tim (Rachel) Beers, cousins, nieces and nephews. John 5:24 "Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.” Nancy is now home with her beloved Savior and friend, Jesus Christ. We will miss her presence here on Earth, but know we will see her again, for life eternal. As were Nancy’s wishes, a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
