Norman E. Ellis, passed away Monday, February 5, 2024, at his home in Hancock, NY surrounded by his family. He was born on July 23, 1941, to the late Norman Levi and Susie (McUmber) Ellis.

Norman married Jean E. Ellis on October 5, 1991, in Deposit, NY.

He was predeceased by his spouse Jean E. Ellis.

Norman is survived by nine children Karen & Rich Tiffany, Bob & Judy Ellis, Tamara Whitmore, Leslie & Mary Ellis, Mark & Debbie Ellis, Frank & Crystal Hatch, Scott & Janet Ellis, Melissa & John Eakle, and Norman Ellis; daughter-in-law Julie Hatch; a brother Floyd & Karen Ellis; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, a great-great granddaughter; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He is predeceased by sisters Dorris Wilber and Betty Cox; brother-in-laws Howard Wilber and Paul Cox; sons John Hatch, Bill Hatch and Tim Hatch; son-in-law David Whitmore; daughter-in-law Gail Hatch.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 1 pm at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 78 Second St. Deposit, NY.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Saturday, February 10, 2024, from 11 am till 1 pm.

Interment will be held in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Deposit, NY.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the cancer society or an animal shelter of your choice.
