Pauline Elizabeth (Hamlin) Smith

Pauline E. (Hamlin) Smith Of Deposit, NY   Pauline Smith, 94, of Deposit, NY passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Delhi Nursing Center in Delhi, NY. Pauline was predeceased by her first husband Thomas E. Hamlin; second husband William H. Smith; parents Frank Scofield & Edith Drumm; son Arthur E. Hamlin; and her granddaughter Sharon VanPelt Muller. Pauline is survived by her daughters Sandra Richardson, Carol & Dale VanPelt, Judith Frank and Lori Hamlin; step-daughters Dawn & Rupert Brady, Susan & Garry Nightingale and Linda & Mike Buck; four sisters-in-law’s; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. Pauline enjoyed dancing, gardening, quilting, knitting, embroidery and baking pies “Pauline’s Pies” for which she was famous for at the farmers market. She worked most of her life as a Farmer’s wife before they retired from farming in 1984. She was a lifetime member of the McClure United Methodist Church and helped assist the church as part of a UMW member. She gifted us all with her expertise, and we all learned from her. She will be dearly missed by all. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 11am at McClure United Methodist Church, 45 State Route 41, Deposit, NY 13754 with Pastor Ed Honrath officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to McClure United Methodist Church, 45 State Route 41, Deposit, NY 13754.
