Raymond Ayres, 44 of Susquehanna, PA passed away unexpectedly in Queens, NY on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.
He was predeceased by his father Raymond L. Ayres; grandparents George & Betty Cavanaugh, uncles Larry Cavanaugh, Donnie Ayres, and John Stanek.

Ray is survived by his wife Christina (Osterhout) Ayres; mother Virginia (Cavanaugh) Ayres; children, favorite son Christopher Ayres, Chelsea (Austin) Manzer, Alyssa Ayres, and Delaney Ayres; grandsons Wyatt and Winstyn Manzer; brothers Warren (Tom) Rincavage, Bryan (Valerie) Ayres, Scott (Denise) Ayres; his “adopted children”, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and so many close friends.

Ray was born and raised in Susquehanna, PA and graduated from Susquehanna Community High School in 1995. Ray worked at Barnes Kasson Hospital in Susquehanna, PA, Don’s Automotive in Kirkwood, NY, BAE Systems in Endicott, NY and was currently employed with New Flyer and Advanced Auto. Ray was the “ultimate supervisor”. He loved the sport of racing and working on cars. Ray could always be found his garage where all his family and friends enjoyed spending time with him. He was the “Rock” of his family and was always willing to help anyone in need.  Ray was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at 4pm at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, from 1 to 4pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ray’s Children Trust Fund at Peoples Security Bank & Trust, 215 Erie Blvd, Susquehanna, PA 18847.
