Raymond Charles Pickering

Raymond C. Pickering Of Thompson, Pa.   Raymond C. Pickering, 97 of Snake Hill Road, Thompson, PA passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the Barnes Kasson Skilled Nursing Facility in Susquehanna, PA.   Raymond was predeceased by his loving wife of 65 years Gladys L. Pickering, & Grand Daughter in law Jennifer Wallace.   He was survived by his Daughter Rhaylene Britten husband Paul Britten Thompson, Pa.; Grandson Pastor Brian Wallace Newfoundland, Pa., Grandson Chad Wallace wife Kim Wallace Thompson, Pa., Granddaughter Shannon (Wallace)Wells, husband Robert Wells Grandview MO.; and 10 great grandchildren.    Raymond owned and operated his own farm as well Pickering’s Farm Machinery in Thompson Township, PA. He belonged to the Freedom Mason Lodge #328 in Thompson, PA for over 50 years. He enjoyed many breakfasts and lunches at the Lenox Diner sitting and chatting with anyone that wanted to talk. Raymond will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.   A Funeral Service as well as a Masonic Ceremony will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Noon at the North Jackson United Methodist Church.   Interment will be held in the North Jackson Cemetery, North Jackson, PA.   The family will receive friends at the North Jackson United Methodist Church on Saturday from 10am till Noon.     In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to North Jackson United Methodist Church, PO Box 109, Jackson, PA 18825.
