Reneé Marie Lang, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026, at Willow Point Nursing Home in Vestal, New York. Born on December 1, 1942, in Queens, NY.

Reneé was born Reneé Marie Kaval and grew up in Queens, where she attended Martin Van Buren High School in Queens Village, graduating in 1960. Early in her career, she worked as a nurse’s aide, a calling she returned to with devotion after raising her seven children. Reneé’s nurturing spirit was evident both in her professional work and in her role as a mother, embodying a steadfast commitment to care and compassion.

Her family was central to her life. Reneé was the loving mother of George and Christie Lang III, Reneé and Donny Moore, Michael and Ronda Lang, Albert Lang, Jim Lang and Carol Jones, David and Allison Lang, and Lynda and Henry Huizinga. She was also a proud grandmother to Georgie, Alyssa, Jeremy, Ashley, Amber, Jessica, Mikey, Brittany, Andrew, Dustin, Desmond, Alexis, Anthony, Joe, Jacob, Erica, Elise, Jodi, Cameron, Riley, Gabriella, Charles, Zachary, Wyatt, and Brianna, and she treasured the joy brought by many great-grandchildren. Renee is remembered fondly by her sister-in-law, Lynda Valez and Eddie Valez.

She endured the loss of her husband, George Lang Jr., in 2006, and also predeceased by her beloved parents James and Marie Kaval, and grandchildren Jordan, Justin, and Josh.

Reneé was deeply involved in her community as a member of the Maple Lane Assembly of God Church in Deposit, NY, where she was very active and contributed much to the spiritual and communal life of the congregation.

Reneé found joy in crocheting, cooking, and arts and crafts. These hobbies brought her much happiness throughout her lifetime.

Family, friends, and all who knew Reneé are invited to honor her memory at the visitation on June 6, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Maple Lane Assembly of God Church, located at 1 Maple Lane, Deposit, NY 13754. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the same location.

She will be interred in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Deposit, NY at a later date.
