Rhea Athelia Barnes, 77, of Deposit, NY passed away unexpectedly on April 26, 2023. Rhea was born on April 29 ^, 1945, in the Town of Sanford. She grew up on the family farm and later met the love of her life Edward. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, and her animals. She loved her family and made many friends throughout her life. She will be greatly missed.

She is predeceased by her parents Horace & Frances (Moore) Decker; son Daniel Barnes; siblings Joseph & Douglas Decker, Mary Dietzman.

She is survived by her husband Edward Barnes of 62 years. Children Kevin & Theresa Barnes, Mike Barnes, Susan Stanton, Deb and Victor Russo, Betty and Dave Christmas. Siblings: Mike, Jeff, Anna, Marge, Sharon, Ethel, Jenny, Kathy and many grandchildren, nephews, nieces.

No funeral service at this time. Celebration of life at a later date.
