Richard A. Christianson Sr. Of Susquehanna, PA Richard A. Christianson Sr., 83, of Susquehanna, PA, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, peacefully, due to the special caring and heartfelt love of all the wonderful nurses and doctors at Barnes Kasson Hospital in Susquehanna, PA. He was predeceased by his parents Tage & Inez (Houghton) Christianson; brother Robert Christianson; and sister Elaine Christianson. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Helen Christianson; children Richard A. Jr. & Christine Christianson, Alan & Lori Christianson, Raymond & Nicole Swanson, Debra & Howard Hess, Brenda, Tim, Ken and Jeff Christianson numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren nieces and nephews. He was born and raised in Starrucca, PA. He served in the United States Air Force directly out of school. Following his time in the military Richard moved back to Starrucca and took over the family farm for the rest of his life. He enjoyed motorcycles, scuba diving, hunting, fishing, woodworking, and taking care of his birds. He converted to Catholicism early on and became a Knight of Columbus and really loved his faith and church. He was truly blessed throughout his life and death and will be dearly missed by his loving family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at 11am at St. John’s Church in Susquehanna, PA. Interment will be held in the St. John’s Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA. The family will receive friends at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA on Wednesday, from 9am to 11am.
