Richard Allan “Rick” Fabrizi, Sr. Of Susquehanna, PA   Richard Allan “Rick” Fabrizi, Sr., 64, of Grand St., Susquehanna, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2014.  He was born in Susquehanna, PA on March 8, 1950.  Rick was predeceased by his mother Lana Ann (Beavan) Fabrizi.  He is survived by his father Augustine L. “Gus” Fabrizi, Oakland, PA, son and daughter-in-law; Rick and Jen Fabrizi, grandsons Rocco and Marco and granddaughter Camilla Fabrizi, Endicott, NY, son Todd Fabrizi, Erie, PA, and daughter Buffy Fabrizi, Johnson City, NY, brother and companion Mike Fabrizi and Melodie Hall, Oakland, PA, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and special friends; Janet (Hill) Campion, Hamilton, Ontario Canada and Tom Picchini, Archbald, PA.  He worked as either and/or a Laborer/Technician/Senior Designer/Vendor Liaison/Assistant Engineering Manager/Purchasing Manager/ Project Manager/ Assistant Plant Manager for either/or: Penn-Can Speedway, Oakland Township,Susquehanna, PA, Oakland Borough, Oakland, PA, Acme Super Market, Susquehanna, PA, Vail-Ballou Press, Kirkwood, NY, The Fairbanks Valve Company, Binghamton, NY, Magnetic Labs, Great Bend, PA, Singer-Link, Kirkwood, NY, Smith-Corona, Cortland, NY, Savin, Great Bend, PA, IBM, Endicott/River Plaza/Glendale/Owego, NY and Burlington, VT, the RONCO Group, Lake Winola, PA and Rotorcast, Lanesboro, PA.  Rick was active in the community as: Volunteer Literacy Tutor/GED Instructor; Susquehanna County (received Tutor of the Year Award), Councilman, Susquehanna Depot Borough, Past President of COG (Susquehanna County Council of Governments), Trustee American Legion Post #86, designed the Veterans Memorial Board (Shops Plaza), Scribe for Bridge Committee, Volunteer Fireman/EMT, plus various other community activities.  He played drums for bands in, around and outside the area. Some of the bands he played for are: The Edwardos/The Playmates, The Johnny Edwards Duo, The Eddie Lyman Trio, The Kards, TC Express, The John Nyshot Band, Airic II, Just Us, The Bose Trio, Middle Road, A Touch of Class/Spice of Life, The Gordy Heath Band, The Mel Whitman Band, The Harry Faux Band and Snake Creek. Besides playing drums, Rick taught drums to many area residents.  Rick was a graduate of Penn State University in Mechanical Design & Engineering at the Worthington Scranton Campus, Dunmore, PA. Rick served in the US Army. He was past member of The Amalgamated Meat Cutters Union and a past member of ICET (International Certification of Engineering Technicians). He was a life-long member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Susquehanna, PA. His favorite Bible Verse: Psalm 16:1 – Keep me O God, for in you I take refuge; favorite Hymn: Here I Am Lord. He loved his family, music and learning.  A Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at 10am at the St. John’s Church, Susquehanna, PA, with Rev. David Cramer officiating.  Burial will be in the St. John’s Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 from 5 to 8pm at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave., Susquehanna, PA.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. John’s Church, 15 East Church St., Susquehanna, PA 18847 or The Michael J.
