Richard A. Mills, 90, of Deposit, NY, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at his home.

He was predeceased by his parents Durwood & Gladys Mills; wife Jean (Warner) Mills; infant son Daniel Mills; brothers Durwood Jr. and Rexford Mills.

Richard is survived by his children Rick Mills (Kathy), of Deposit, NY, Garry Mills (Diane), of Windsor, NY, Jamie Mills of Deposit, NY, Roger Mills (Shelley) of Windsor, NY, and David Mills, of Windsor, NY; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Richard was born and raised in Deposit, NY. After high school he married his wife Jean on May 9th, 1953. Together he and his wife owned and operated Deposit Sanitary for the past 60 years. He looked forward to his trips to Tioga Downs Casino. Richard enjoyed bowling and participated in several leagues over the years. He was a member of the Deposit Men’s Club for over 50 years. Richard was also a great cook and enjoyed BBQing for his family and friends. He was a well-respected business owner who will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 7, 2023, from Noon till 4pm, at the Masonic Hall, 206 Front St. Deposit, NY.
