Robert J. Bednarz Sr.

Robert J. Bednarz Sr. Of Scott Center, PA     Robert J. Bednarz Sr., 76, of Scott Center Township, passed away after an illness on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at the Barnes Kasson Hospital, Susquehanna , PA. Robert was born in Simpson, PA, son of the late Charles and Anna Bednarz. He was survived by his three children Daniel and Carrie Bednarz Sr., Robert and Kathy Bednarz Jr., and Connie Rogers and Jim; seven grandchildren Daniel Jr., Nicholas, Chelsea, Aimee, Brian, Kenny and Joseph; great granddaughter Alexis; and very loving extended family. Robert spent over 50 years as a Union Carpenter, belonging to the Local #1342. He served in the United States Army. He was a member of the Lenox VFW #8488 and the Lincoln Park American Legion. Robert was an avid hunter and fisherman and he also enjoyed gardening. He will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at 4pm, at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA, with Pastor Kevin Setzer officiating. Interment will be held in the Lamb Cemetery, Jackson, PA, at a later date. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 21, 2015, from 2 to 4pm.
