Robert E. Bentz

Robert E. Bentz Of Susquehanna, PA         Robert E. Bentz, 70 of Susquehanna, PA, passed away at home on Monday, August 7, 2017.   He was predeceased by his mother and step-father Antoinette and Mitch Makowski, and his first wife of 35 years Josefita.   Robert is survived by his wife Carol, sons R. J. Bentz and Daniel Bentz, a daughter Sandy Bentz, step-children Joe & Kathy Skiba, Dean and April Rhone, and Barbara Presley , also 7 step- grandchildren.   He was retired from the Norfolk Southern Railroad after 34 years where he worked as a lineman, safety inspector and operator. Robert loved taking pictures, muscle cars, Manhattan, and drawing. He also was very patriotic knew everything there was to know about the tragic events of 9/11. Most important Robert was a loving father who will be dearly missed by his family and friends.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, August 12, 2017, at 10am at St. John’s Church, Susquehanna, with Rev. Robert Dwyer.   Interment will be held in the St. John’s Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA.   The family will receive friends at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave., Susquehanna, PA, on Friday evening from 5:30 to 8:30pm.   The family would to extend a special thank you to Michelle Fox Snyder, April Rhone, Barbara Presley, Lisa Allen, Linda Buffington, Kathy Fox & all of our grandchildren.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
