Robert W. Fisk, 92, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026, at Meadow View Nursing Home in Montrose, PA. Born on May 16, 1933, in Oakland, PA, Robert was a man of integrity and character who dedicated many years of his life to his work at the Hallstead Foundry until his well-earned retirement.
Robert’s life was marked by his service to others, including his distinguished service in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a respected member of the American Legion Post 86 in Susquehanna and was actively involved in the United Methodist Church, where his contributions and faith left a lasting impact on those around him.
Family was paramount to Robert, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He is survived by his loving children, Robert & Pam Fisk, Theresa Bixby & Matt Frailey, Mary & Wayne Irwin, and Lori & Gene Delsandro. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Robbie & Laura Fisk, Christopher & Rachael Fisk, Jason & Diana Bixby, Jennifer Bixby, Justine & Frank Larsen, Jeremy & Jenny Irwin, Shawn Irwin, Amanda & Eric Preston, as well as his great-grandchildren, Bobbie Fisk, Isabella Bixby, Harrison Bixby, Carter Bixby, Brandon Saddlemire, Matthew Larsen, Brooklyn Irwin, Jason Irwin, Chase Preston, Gage Preston, and Piper Preston. Additionally, he was blessed with great-great-grandchildren, Oliver Norman and Clayton Norman. Robert also leaves behind his brother, Floyd Fisk, along with many loving nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.
In his free time, Robert enjoyed hunting and fishing, finding peace and joy in nature. He was an aficionado of good coffee and always looked forward to the cheerful company of his favorite waitress, Jennifer. His children remember him with warmth and love, expressing, "Love you Dad, see you later, coffee pot is off."
Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Delores (Demer) Fisk, and his grandson, Eric Bixby. He is also mourned by his sisters, Marie (who passed at age 3), Alice & Fred Shay, Ester & Howard Cobb, Luella & Ken O'Dell & Vincent Branning, Lucille "Zeke" & Steve Klym, and Mary & Benjamin Ficarro, as well as his brothers, William "Bill" & Agnes Skinner, and Walter & Deborah Fisk. He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Shirley Fisk.
Robert's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
The visitation will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Hennessey's Funeral Home located at 747 Jackson Ave, Susquehanna, PA 18847, followed by a funeral service at 5:00 PM. As we remember Robert W. Fisk, we celebrate a life dedicated to family, service, and the joy of simple pleasures.
Interment will be in Lanesboro Cemetery, Lanesboro, PA in the spring.
