Robert Edwin Gorton, Sr. Of Susquehanna, Pa. Robert Edwin Gorton, Sr., 66, of Broad Ave. Susquehanna, Pa. passed away Friday March 15, 2013 at the Barnes Kasson Hospital in Susquehanna, Pa. He was predeceased by his father Clyde Gorton; daughter and son-in-law Jennifer & Dean Kelley. Robert is survived by his loving wife Carolyn (Malpasse) Gorton; mother Mary Gorton; son and daughter-in-law Robert & Nancy Gorton, Jr.; brothers Gary & Debbie Gorton; Leslie “Stub” Gorton; Ronald “Doc” & Joanna Gorton, sisters Evelyn & Richard Cottrell; Shirley & Bob Warring; grandchildren Robert M. Gorton; Ryan K. Gorton; Jared C. Kelley; Devon M. Kelley; Cheyenne M. Kelley, several nieces , nephews and cousins. He worked at Camp Chenawanda at Fiddle Lake and for many years at the Cottrell Farm. Robert was an avid hunter and fishermen but most of all he loved being a grandfather and enjoyed have his grandchildren around him. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday March 20th at noon at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home 747 Jackson Ave Susquehanna with Pastor Kevin Setzer officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11am to noon. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family.
