Rev. Robert Harris, of Susquehanna, PA passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024, at Regional Hospital in Scranton.

Robert was predeceased by his parents Wallace & Florence (Finley) Harris and a baby brother.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Janet Harris; stepchildren Justine Haley, Jeffrey Haley, Joleane Hobart; grandchildren Jeffery, Kenny, Kati, Molli, Abby, and Carter; 7 great grandchildren; and two fur babies Lucky & Blackie.

Robert was born on July 20, 1938, at the Methodist Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He graduated from William Penn Charter School in Philadelphia, following that he attended Western Maryland College, Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC. Robert was very active during his time in college participating in many extracurricular activities. After college Robert became a Minister and served at several Methodist churches throughout New York, Pennsylvania, and Vermont until his retirement. He married Janet in 1986 and settled in Susquehanna where he served as minister. During his ministry Robert held several positions throughout the conference. He was also on the board of directors for Pennsylvania Sunday School Association and was a member of Ocean Grove Auditorium Ushers Association. Robert had a strong faith and cared dearly for his parishioners and family who will miss him dearly.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 11am at Susquehanna Christian Community Church, 1361 Main St. Susquehanna, PA.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 1, 2024, from 3 to 6pm at Susquehanna Christian Community Church.

Interment will be held in North Jackson Cemetery, Jackson, PA.
