Osterhout, 73, of Washington St. Susquehanna, PA, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Thursday, September 27, 2012.   Robert was predeceased by his parents Clarence and Romayne Osterhout, and his brother Richard Osterhout. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara J. Osterhout, one son and daughter-in-law Edward and Debra Osterhout, two daughters and son-in-law, Lori Sampson and Jason Borne, and Cheryl and Anthony Halesky; one brother and sister-in-law Ronald and Danilyn Osterhout; one sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and William Gorton; Eight grandchildren, Adam, Stephen, Sabrina, Allyson, Anthony, Aricah, Alyssa, and Addison; four great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Collin, Marley, and Trent; a special friend Robert Sampson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Robert was a United States Army Veteran. He was a member of the Baptist church in Susquehanna. Robert loved being in the outdoors, and enjoyed gardening, golfing, and bowling. Most of all Robert loved spending time with his family who will miss him dearly. A funeral service will be held at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA, on Monday, October 1, 2012 at 11am. with Chaplain Dave Bettes officiating. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Sunday, September 30, 2012, from 1 to 4pm.
