Ronald ‘Harv’ Coleman Billings

Ron Billings, 93, resident of Deposit, NY, and previously of North Syracuse and Cicero, NY, passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side.

Born in Syracuse to the late Herbert and Florence (Wagner) Billings, Ron grew up in East Syracuse, spent 50 years in the North Syracuse and Cicero areas, and later settled in Deposit, NY.

Ron graduated from Fayetteville High School and went on to proudly serve in the US Air Force for 2 1/2 years during the Korean War. He later built a 35-year career with Western Electric. Ron had a love of the outdoors – fishing, camping, traveling, cheering on SU, and most of all spending time with his family. In 1982, he married Edris, sharing over four decades of love together. They made their home in Cicero for 20 years before moving to Deposit in 2002.

Ron is predeceased by: his parents, Herbert and Florence Billings, daughter Randy Wilson, and step grandson Aaron Roch.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years: Edris (Linkroum Roch) Billings; his 2 children: Craig Billings (Linda Ritter), and Brian (Marie) Billings; 2 grandchildren: Scott (Lori) Wilson, and Janel (Mike) Brubaker; and 5 great grandchildren.

He is also survived by his 4 step children: Randal (Donna) Roch, Russell (Teresa) Roch, Roger (Sherrie) Roch, and Renee (Patrick) Frontale; 8 step grandchildren: Joseph, Jessica, Rachel, Jordan, Sarah, Nick, Samuel, and Sophia; and 4 step great grandchildren.

Family and friends may call from 10 to 11 AM on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home 78 2nd St. Deposit, NY, immediately followed by a 11 AM service. Ron will be laid to rest with military honors in the Collamer Cemetery in East Syracuse, NY, at 2 PM.
