Ronald L. Peltz
Of Thompson, PA
Ronald L. Peltz “Jigger” of Thompson PA went to his maker this winter. He was found January 28, 2026.
Born April 2, 1950, to and predeceased by Robert and Elsie Peltz. He was one of nine siblings of whom only one sister remains.
He enjoyed many things in life. Softball consumed his earlier years when he still dreamed of being an architect. As years passed you could find him in the garden or fishing anywhere he could wet a line. Woodworking was a passion of his and he spent a lot of his time in his shop. Jigger was well known to be seen riding his garden tractor up and down the roads he grew up on and never left. He lived life his way. Always with a can of Genny in his hand.
The Dad I choose to remember took me to my first concert and watched me ski Elk Mountain. He took me to my Hunter Safety course in that old blue Ford with the zipper pocket for his road sodas. He made me homemade French fries and let me have a go on the table saw. We tracked birds in the wintertime and spent many many hours on hard water with homemade tip ups. An orange soda and a Hershey bar fixed everything. He tried.
He is survived by his only child April Miller and her amazing grown children Sydney and Zakariah Miller as well as nieces, nephews and one sister.
