Ruth Ann Decker, 81, or Gulf Summit, NY, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, December 19, 2023.

She was born on October 31, 1942, in Gulf Summit, NY, to the late Raymond C. & Marjorie A. (McKinney) Page.

Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 64 years Allan Decker; children Allan Arthur & Carla Decker of Cobleskill, NY, Kenny & Wendy Decker of McClure, NY, Marty & Ashley Decker of Windsor, NY; 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; brothers and sisters Irma Buckbee, of Sidney, NY, Arlene White, of Johnson City, NY, Kenneth & Charlene Page, Deposit, NY; many special nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ruth was raised throughout the Deposit, NY area and graduated from the Deposit Central High School Class of 1960. After high school she married her husband Allan on June 25, 1960. She cared for many foster children. She also drove school bus and was a rural mail carried for the US Postal Service. Ruth enjoyed gardening and dancing. She was the DCS Class of 1960 co coordinator and helped arrange meetings, reunions, and newsletters. Ruth lived her life the way she wanted, enjoying her family, and helping wherever she could. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who will be dearly missed by all her loving family and friends.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023, from 11am to 1pm, at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 78 Second St. Deposit, NY.
