Sahara Rose Barker, 17, of Susquehanna, PA passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 23, 2023, at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA.

She was predeceased by grandparents Steven Barker, Kevin Mead, and James Valentine.

Sahara is survived by her mother Cortney Valentine and father and stepmother Stephen & Juliette Barker; siblings Madison Watt, Danny Quintero, Alison Dockstader and Davey Dockstader; grandparents Melodi Mead, Karen Brown, Susan Jackson, Cara Valentine; great grandmother Carol Barnes; aunts and uncles, Lauren & Dave Ackermann, Melissa Valentine, Kayla Valentine (Jim Welch), Garrette Barker and Corey Barker, Rosie Mead, Emily Mead, and Julieann Alonso; cousins Rheanna, Malia, Corbin, Waylon, Krisalyn, and Kahli.

Sahara was a going to be starting her Senior Year of High School at Susquehanna Community High School. She had desires to join the United States Army National Guard and attend college in Burlington Vermont for neuroscience. She also worked at Burger King as a part time job. Sahara was very involved in her community and volunteering wherever she could. She participated in soccer, karate, and cheerleading.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm at the Lanesboro Community Center, Main Street Lanesboro, PA.
