Sandy Boughton Gall, 56, of Winter Haven, Florida, formerly of Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, passed away on August 30, 2026, after a short illness, with her loved ones by her side.

She was predeceased by her brother, Thomas Lake.

Sandy is survived by her husband of nine years, Thomas Gall of Winter Haven, Florida; her parents, Edward and Geri Lake; her sister-in-law, Kylie Lake; her brothers, Marc (Lissa) Lake, Ed, and Howard; her brothers- and sisters-in-law, Ken Gall and Stacey Acker, Mike Gall, Steve Gall and Sarah Magalis, Rita and John Palmer, and Patrick Gall; her sons, Daniel Boughton Jr. and Becky Hilyer of Roaring Branch, Pennsylvania, Adam Boughton of Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, Daniel Gall of the Poconos, Pennsylvania, Timothy and Barbara Gall of Osceola, Pennsylvania, and Thomas (TJ) and Megan Gall Jr. of New Milford, Pennsylvania; and her grandchildren, Aaron, Savanna, Bennett, Elizabeth, and Cheyenne.

She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who were an important part of her life.

Sandy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was happiest surrounded by the people she cared about. She loved cooking and baking, and anyone who knew her knew there was often something good coming out of her kitchen. Whether it was her lasagna, homemade soups, fresh-baked bread, cakes, or cookies, she enjoyed making food for others just as much as she enjoyed cooking it.

After moving to Florida, Sandy took up bingo a couple of times a week, where she enjoyed the game as well as the friendships and time spent with others.

Sandy was funny, talkative, and easygoing, but she was also stubborn and strong-willed. Anyone who knew her knew that once she made up her mind, there wasn't much chance of changing it. Affectionately known as “Short Wheels,”Sandy had a personality and sense of humor all her own.

Those who knew her best will undoubtedly remember some of her familiar sayings, including “Don't be using my verbage”, “You're gonna get a tator and a tot.” and “Hey lazer lips, Your mama was a snowblower.” They were just a couple of those little things that were unmistakably Sandy and will continue to bring smiles and laughter to the people who knew and loved her.

She had a generous heart and was always willing to help someone who needed it. Whether it was making someone a meal, baking something to share, lending a hand, or simply being there to talk, helping others came naturally to her.

A Celebration of Life honoring Sandy will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Lanesboro Community Center in Lanesboro, Pennsylvania. Family and friends are invited to come together, share memories and stories, and celebrate all the things that made Sandy uniquely her — her sense of humor, her conversations, her stubborn streak, the food that brought people together, her unforgettable sayings, her kindness, and the countless memories she leaves behind.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Sandy's memory by paying it forward. Help someone in need, make a meal for someone, lend a helping hand, or simply do something kind for another person. It is a fitting way to remember Sandy and continue the kindness and generosity she showed to others throughout her life.
