Sara Clarke Iveson Of Susquehanna, PASara Ann Clarke Iveson, 64, of Susquehanna, Pa., passed away on Monday, February 6, 2012, at the Barnes-Kasson County Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. "Sally", as we all called her, was born on August 5, 1947 in Scranton, Pa. Sally was the wife of the late William D. Iveson. Bill and Sally were married 40 wonderful, love filled years. She is also predeceased by her mother, Sara Michael Clarke, her father William E. Clarke, and father-in-law, David G. Iveson.Surviving are her four children, William and Mary Iveson, Michael and Kelly Iveson, Sara and Joseph Adornato, and Robert Iveson; eight grandchildren, Kyleigh, Bridget, Victoria, Amanda, Lexis, Alexandra, Sara, and Anthony; brother and sister-in-law, William and Janice Clarke; mother-in-law Loretta Iveson; brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws David and Kathy Iveson, Jane and Edward Deitrick, and Richard and Elizabeth Iveson; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Sally was a 1965 graduate of Susquehanna High School. She was a graduate of Marywood College, where she earned her degree in Business Management and Accounting. She also attended Empire State College for Community and Health Care Services. Sally worked for 43 years at Barnes-Kasson Hospital. Sally started at the hospital in the accounting department and in 1982 became the Executive Director. Sally dedicated her life to and was passionate about the hospital, community, and all of the staff that worked with her to help the hospital succeed. In her spare time, Sally especially enjoyed her Friday nights out at the Hair Zoo and late night trips to the casino. Sally also enjoyed her travels with her late husband Bill, family, and her several close friends.A Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 10, 2012 at Hennessey's Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave., Susquehanna, PA. Burial will be held in the South Gibson Cemetery, South Gibson, Pa. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday February 9, 2012. The family would like to extend their most sincere thanks and appreciation to all of the physicians and staff at Barnes-Kasson Hospital for their compassionate care, kindness, and concern for Sally during her illness.
