Scott Keith Moranda
Of Deposit, NY
Scott Keith Moranda, born on September 23, 1981, in Johnson City, New York, passed away on June 14, 2026.
He was a dedicated and hardworking individual whose career spanned many years in the oil field industry, specifically in management and fracking operations. Throughout his life, Scott took immense pride in his work, bringing skill and diligence to his various construction vocations, which honed his abilities as a skilled laborer. Additionally, he possessed a genuine interest in technology and frequently enjoyed working with computers.
Scott's educational journey began at Deposit Central High School, from which he graduated before attending Broome Community College. Demonstrating a commitment to continued learning, he was also enrolled in an online college program at the time of his passing.
Those who knew Scott remember him for his kind heart and willingness to help others. His hobbies reflected his love for the outdoors and hands-on activities; he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, exercising, and tinkering on bikes.
Scott is survived by his loving mother, Susan (Rozelle) Moranda, and Craig Rose. He is also survived by his sister, Amber (Moranda) Funnell, and her husband, Eric Funnell, as well as his brother, Maven Moranda. His extended family includes numerous aunts and uncles: Sharon Ehret; Barbara and Walt MacEachern; Pelham and Jan Rozelle Jr.; Bruce and Adrienne Rozelle; Kay Mathias; Nancy and Les Sacani; and Keith and Lori Moranda, in addition to many cousins who were a cherished part of his life.
He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents Cy and Betty Moranda, Pelham C. and Eleanore K. Rozelle Sr., his father Scott J. Moranda, and his sister Ashleigh M. Moranda.
Private Funeral Services will be held at a later date.
