Shirley Ann Aversa Shirley Ann Aversa, 83 years-old of Susquehanna, PA passed away at Barnes-Kasson Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility on July 5, 2019. Shirley is predeceased by her parents: William Adelbert Corby and Christine Glock and a sister, Francis. She is survived by her two loving daughters and their spouses: Bridget and Lance Shelp of Susquehanna, PA and Lisa and Howard Schulman of Belleville, NJ. A sister, Christina Coben-Veale of San Diego, Ca. 3 grandchildren: Jason, Steven (Sheree), and Matthew Eromenok. 3 great-grandchildren: Khady Sow, Jason Daniel, and Gavin Ryan Eromenok. Nieces and nephews and her cat Shadow. Shirley was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ. Shirley was a waitress at the Green Kitchen in Guttenberg, NJ for many years. In 1991, she moved to live with her mother on Prospect St in Susquehanna, PA. Shortly after, she moved to Turnpike Terrace Apartments where she met great friends especially, Phyllis Oropallo and Muriel Davey. Shirley’s ultimate hobby was she was an avid QVC shopper, she could not pass up a “Today’s Special Value.” The family wants to send a special thank you and gratitude to Dr. P. Patel and to the awesome staff of Barnes-Kasson Hospital 2nd floor and Skilled Nursing Facility for all the great care, empathy, and patience. Shirley truly felt she was royalty and special! Shirley will be greatly missed!
