Steven K. Smith, 55, of Sherman, PA, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, April 3, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones.

He is predeceased by his wife, Robbin (Mills) Smith, and his parents Ralph and Evelyn Smith. He is survived by his children, Zachary Smith (Katie McKee) and Makayla Smith (Marshal Pettersen), grandchildren, Sawyer and Iris Smith, along with his siblings Kelly (Wayne) Wormuth, Allison (Brian) Wingerter, Ralph (Patti) Smith, and Tracey (Dave) Hunter, and many nieces and nephews.

Steven had many hobbies. He enjoyed spending as much time as he could outdoors. He was often out hunting, fishing, picking ginseng, or watching birds. Steven also enjoyed watching sports, playing cards/slot machines, trying new recipes, and listening to bluegrass music.

Steven worked along side his brother as a carpenter, and he had a true gift for the craft. His friendships were a testament to his character, as he connected with people from all walks of life, no matter where he was. Steven had a lasting impact on everyone he met. To know him was to love him.

Steven faced life's challenges with resilience and grace. His true joy was spending time with his family. He was happiest when surrounded by his loved ones.

Per Steven’s wishes, a celebration of life will be held in August in honor of his and Robbin’s wedding anniversary. It will be held on August 16, 2025 at the Red Barn in Deposit, NY, from noon to 4 PM.

His family would like to acknowledge all of those who assisted in his heath care, especially Hospice of the Sacred Heart. Thank you.
