Theodore “Ted” W. Schwartz, 94, of Oakland, PA, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Barnes Kasson Hospital in Susquehanna, PA.

He was predeceased by his parents John & Teresa Schwartz; son Charles Schwartz; brothers William and Bud; and sister Dorthy.

Ted is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Sharyl Schwartz; sons Timothy & Crystle Ross, Daniel Ross, and Christopher & Karen Ross; daughter-in-law Lorraine Schwartz; 14 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; special nephew and niece David Schwartz and Stacey Schwartz; in-laws Joyce Stanko and Thomas Chaffee; and many nieces and nephews.

Ted was born in Oakland, PA on September 5, 1930, and was a lifelong resident of Oakland, PA. He graduated from Laurel Hill Academy. Following high school Ted served in the US Army during the Korean War. He and his brother William started and ran the Tri-Boro Cable company in Susquehanna, PA until they sold it to Adam’s Cable. He was a 73-year member of the Susquehanna America Legion Post 86. Ted was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be dearly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held in the Spring.
