Thomas A. Brower Obituary Of Deposit, NY Thomas A. Brower, 61 of Deposit, NY passed away on May 4that his childhood home with his family nearby. He was born in Hancock NY on March 3rd, 1958 to George and Grace Brower. He is survived by his children, Daniel (Amber), Heather, TJ (Tasha) all from Deposit NY, his brothers George (Beth), Walter (Edie), Bill (Nancy), his loving grandchildren Kasey, Aiden, Alex, Russel, Aaron, Christian, as well as his many nieces, nephews, and friends. He is also survived by his Comrade and best friend Rick Potter of Newport News, VA. He married on March 17th, 1983 to Chris (Colvard) in Virginia Beach, VA. Tom Joined the Navy in June of 1978 where he rose to the rank of Machinist Mate Master Chief. He served on the CGN USS California, CGN USS Mississippi, as well as the commissioning of the CVN USS John C. Stennis. He served in Operation Desert Storm on the CGN USS Mississippi. He retired from active service in 2000, after 22 years, at the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer, Surface Warfare Specialist (MMCM(SW)). In 2000 he began working at General Electric as a Manufacturing Engineer and retired in 2018. He was an active member of the Deposit VFW Post 6609 as well as the American Legion Post 701 in Amsterdam, NY. He loved American History and all things nautical. He was a fan of Nascar and enjoyed attending races with his friends and family. The Chicago Cubs and Baseball were his biggest past time, GO CUBBIES!!!! He lost interest in Football but was always a big St. Louis Rams fan, he wouldn’t acknowledge they left for LA. His movie and book collections were enormous, he loved westerns and TV shows from his childhood. His love for Music was unmatched, nothing made him happier than a concert and the lawn of SPAC (Saratoga Performing Arts Center). Tom was the “hero” of his family, always at their sides.
