Thomas Jude Reilly
Of Deposit, NY
Thomas Jude Reilly, 67, known lovingly to his family as “Pappy,” passed away on June 29, 2026, at UHS Wilson Hospital in Johnson City, NY. Born on September 6, 1958, in Tipperary, Ireland, Thomas’s life was a testament to hard work, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends.
Thomas’s eventually made his home in Ogdensburg, NJ and in 2006, he moved to Deposit, NY, where he continued to invest his energy and care into both his work and his community. Thomas dedicated his career to construction, tirelessly working with his hands and lending his skills wherever they were needed. He took great pride in every project, especially his most recent position working alongside Gary DeGraw.
A proud veteran, Thomas served in the United States Army for eight years. Those who knew him recall his incredible kindness and readiness to help anyone in need. Thomas would have gladly given the shirt off his back if he thought it would ease someone’s burden.
He found joy in gardening, working on cars, reading, and was always tinkering with his hands. There was seldom a moment when he was not fixing, building, or caring for something or someone.
Above all, Thomas cherished his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 39 years, Debra Reilly. He leaves behind his beloved sons, Kevin Haring & Devon Cowdrick, Ryan & Megan Reilly, his loving daughter, Kimberly & William Babcock.
Thomas’s legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Kaylie Haring, Cassie Haring, Robert Reilly, Brady Babcock, Mikayla Reilly, Liam Babcock, and Landon Haring; great-grandchildren, Jaylen Blowe and Zylah Blowe; brother, Robert F. Reilly; his father-in-law, Richard Haring Jr.; mother-in-law, Carol Haring Jr.; sisters-in-law, Barbara Schuhnicki and Linda Price; as well as nieces and nephews.
Thomas was predeceased by his mother & father, Vincent & Elizabeth Reilly, son Thomas Patrick Reilly.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
