Timothy Malcolm Hess Of Deposit, NY Timothy Hess, 57, of Deposit, NY, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his parents Malcolm Hess & Mary Bohrer Miller. Tim is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Carol (Vagts) Hess of Deposit, NY; daughter and son-in-law, Katharina & Brian Card of Candor, NY; son, Alexander Hess of Deposit, NY; granddaughter Magnolia Card; siblings, brother David Hess of Deposit, NY; sister and brother-in-law Theresa & Dave Stauber, McGraw, NY; brothers and sisters-in-law Dan & Tiffany Miller of Deposit NY, and Dusty & Kellie Miller of Lake Panasoffkee, FL; along with many nieces and nephews. Tim graduated from Deposit Central School followed by attending SUNY Broome where he earned his Associates Degree. Following college Tim began his career as a Deputy Sheriff in Delaware County where he was still considered a special deputy. He then went to work for the SUNY Delhi University Police department where he served for 35 years and retired as a Captain. Tim enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. He also collected antique toys. Most important to Tim was spending time with his loving family and friends; particularly his granddaughter Maggie who was the apple of his eye. He will be dearly missed. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Noon at Maple Lane Assembly of God Church 1 Maple Lane, Deposit, NY. The family will receive friends at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 78 Second St. Deposit, NY on Friday, March 11, 2022, from 4 to 6pm and on Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 11am till Noon at the Church. Interment will be held in the Laurel Hill Cemetery, Deposit, NY.
