Todd A. Russell Sr. 50, of Deposit, NY passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022, after a short-term battle with cancer in Binghamton, NY.

He is predeceased by his grandfather Julio Martell Sr., grandmother Norma Mitsakos; and stepmother Edith Russell.

Todd is survived by his loving wife Michele (Ligotti) Russell; father Roy Russell, Sr.; mother Jeanette Hine Johnston and fiancé Luis; sons Todd A. Russell (T.J.) (Johannah); Devon J. Russell (Alexis); daughter Mercedes D. Russell (Justin); brothers Roy “Spike” Russell Jr. (Kaysi), Dennis Edwards (Michelle), David Edwards (Lucy); sisters Tina Russell Worden (Scott), Lisa Russell Gould (Tim), Judy Russell Wells (Billy), Donna Edwards Homes (David), and Cheryl Edwards Freer; 2 grandchildren on the way; four stepchildren Christina McKee, Stephanie McKee (Billy), David McKee Jr. (Sandy), Myranda McKee (Dyllan); five step grandchildren, Madison, Evyn, Briella, Makenna and Levi; also his extended family of many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews that he adored as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins; and his dogs Ringo and Shiloh.

Todd was born in Johnson City, NY on May 4, 1972, and was raised in Deposit, NY. He graduated from Deposit Central High School. After high school Todd worked as a carpenter in the Local Union #277. Todd was an avid hunter, fisherman, outdoorsman, and Steelers Fan. He enjoyed kayaking, collecting guns, pocketknives, and fishing rods. Todd was currently building his own home before falling ill. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather who will be dearly missed.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022, at 7pm at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 78 Second St. Deposit, NY.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Monday, August 15, 2022, from 4 to 7pm.
