Tracie Lynn Begeal, 59, of Windsor, New York passed away peacefully Friday, April 22, 2022, at Lourdes Hospital.

She is predeceased by her grandparents John and Marion Knox, Ed and Polly Humphrey, her father in law Bruce Begeal and her uncles Tom Knox, Jack Humphrey, and aunt Joan Garrison.

She is survived by her loving husband, Daniel, and her son Andrew (Ashley), her parents, Peggy and Dave Knox, her mother in law, Helen Begeal, her sisters, Jennifer (Jim) VanLuvender, Heidi (Dave) Young, and Rebecca (Bill) Morgan. Her sisters in law Sue (Dan) Hayes and Cathie (Jim) Griffin and brothers in law Brian and Bob (Mona) Begeal, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Tracie graduated from Deposit Central School and attended St. Elizabeth's School of Nursing in Utica, New York where she earned her degree as a Registered Nurse.  She worked at multiple facilities throughout her nursing career but spent 15 years at Sidney Hospital working in their skilled nursing unit. She had great compassion and love for everyone she provided care for.  After her nursing career, she worked for the New York State Office of Disability and Determination until her retirement.

Tracie loved reading, music, dancing and spending time with friends and family. She was an avid Washington Redskins fan and loved Sunday football. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. Her true joy came from raising her son Andrew with her husband Dan and took great pride in their family.

Tracie will always be remembered as a devoted wife and a loving mother, daughter, sister and aunt, as well as a dear friend to many. She was a sweet, caring, and generous person who will be forever loved and dearly missed by her friends and family.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 12:00pm at Christ Episcopal Church, 14 Monument St. Deposit, NY.

The family will receive friends at the Church on Friday, April 29, 2022 from 11:00am to 12:00pm.
