Walter A. “Butch” Baker Sr., 83 of Susquehanna, PA passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at his home.

He is predeceased by his parents Walter and Marion (Praefke) Baker; and his two brothers David and Carroll Baker.

He is survived by his wife Carol (Fuller) of 54 years; his children Walter Baker Jr., Valarie (Baker) Klopfer & her husband Jeffrey, and Victor Baker & his wife Tracy; three grandchildren Nathan Hollister, Tyler Hollister & his wife Katie, Lyndsay Baker & her fiancé Christian Noyes; five brothers Richard (Carol), Albert (Claire), Mark (Suzanne), Dean (Pat), Dale (Marian); two sister-in-law’s Eve Baker and Irene Baker; and a large extended family.

He was a Vietnam Veteran who served in the Army and is a purple heart recipient. He was employed by G.E., retired from Phillip Morris in 1993 and Endicott Precision in 2002. He was a member of the American Legion Post #86 in Susquehanna, PA and the VFW Post #6223 in Great Bend, PA. He enjoyed woodworking and made beautiful furniture.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA.
