Walter "Bud" Peter Monks Sr.

Walter “Bud” P. Monks Sr. Of Jackson, PA       Walter “Bud” Monks Sr. of Jackson, PA passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA. He was predeceased by his parents Walter & Mable (Smith) Monks. Bud was survived by his loving wife of 40 plus years Lynne Monks; his son Peter Monks; sisters and brothers-in-law Patricia Ugrovics, Nancy & Paul Terwilliger, Joyce Monks, and Marie & Joe Landry; brother-in-law Dan and Ann Cody; and several nieces and nephews. Bud worked as a heavy equipment operator for Van Vooren Construction Company in New Jersey until he moved to Pennsylvania. He then worked in the maintenance department at the Blue Ridge School District until his retirement. In his younger years Bud enjoyed racing motorcycles with his best friend Roger Vieth. He also enjoyed deer hunting and living in the country. He will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends. As per Bud’s request there will be no funeral services.
