Wayne Daddis (AKA Eugene Duane Daddis Sr.), born in Newark, NJ in 1939, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 30th at Guthrie Lourdes Hospital. He was surrounded by his loving family after a long illness. He was 84 years old.

Wayne resided in Deposit, NY since 1981, where he became a beloved member of the community. He was a talented mason contractor and the proud proprietor of the Red Barn. Wayne's passion for music was well-known; he loved both performing and watching musicians perform.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Ruth Daddis, and his brother, Curtis Daddis. He is survived by his devoted wife, Beatrice Daddis, his daughter Beatrice Summers and her husband Patrick Summers of Deposit, NY, his son Duane Daddis Jr. and his wife Barbara of Deposit, NY, and his son Brian Daddis and his wife Suzanne of North Tonawanda, NY. Wayne was a cherished grandfather to Katherine Daddis, Annemarie Daddis, Patrick Summers, Elijah Summers, Elizabeth Daddis, and Joseph Daddis. He is also survived by his siblings Victor Daddis, Linda Scala, Marsha Reardon, and Cynthia Magee.

Wayne's memory will be treasured by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His legacy of hard work, musical talent, and love for his family will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

A memorial service will be held at the Red Barn on Saturday, August 17th at 2:00 pm where friends and family will gather to celebrate Wayne's life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Deposit Fire Department or to the Deposit Food Pantry in Wayne's honor.
