William A. Buchanan, 87, of Deposit, NY, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023, at Vestal Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Vestal, NY.

He is predeceased by his parents Francis & Edith Buchanan; and sisters Barbara Seymour, Shirley Begeal, and Ann Walker.

William is survived by his daughter April Bronson; grandchildren, James & Erica Buchanan, Cody & Shawna Bronson, and Justin Bronson; great grandchildren, Keegan Buchanan, Kennedy Buchanan, Ryder Buchanan, Brody Bronson, Brayden Bronson, and Braxton Bronson; several nieces, nephews, and cousin.

William was born and raised in Deposit, NY and graduated from Deposit Central High School. After high school William served in the United States Navy. Following his time in the service William drove truck for many years. Upon returning to Deposit, he worked at Celotex until his retirement. William enjoyed bowling, fishing, and horseshoes.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, from 1pm to 3pm at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 78 Second St. Deposit, NY 13754.

Private interment will be in Vestal Hill Memorial Park, Vestal, NY.
