William C. Chamberlain, born April 22, 1953, in Susquehanna, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026, at Barnes-Kasson Hospital. His life was marked by love for family, enduring relationships, and the quiet dignity of a man who left a gentle imprint on all who knew him.

William was shaped by the deep roots of his upbringing in Susquehanna, carrying with him the values of hard work, steadiness, and heartfelt care for those in his community and family. Through the years, he devoted himself to the well-being and happiness of his loved ones.

He is survived by his cherished children, Shannon Flynn, Matthew & Karissa Chamberlain, and Debra Chamberlain & fiancé Rob Zembek, who carry forward his legacy with pride and fond remembrance; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; His siblings – Linda Vogel, Tom & Chris Chamberlain, Candy & Bryan Roosa, share in remembering his kindness and steady presence. He is also remembered by his brother-in-law, Brian White and leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

William is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Catherine Chamberlain, whose memory he held dearly throughout his days. He grieved the loss of his son, Paul Chamberlain; his parents, William & Constance Chamberlain; his grandmother, Anna Charles; his uncle, John Charles; his sister, Cathy White; and his brother-in-law, Alan Vogel. Their memories remain an essential part of his story and the hearts of those left behind.

William was known as a devoted family man. He was hardworking and very dedicated to his jobs as a farmer, quarryman, and logger. He enjoyed vacationing in Lancaster with his family, the occasional UFO sighting with a bottle of peach wine, and birdwatching. As we reflect on William’s life, we remember his enduring love, his compassionate nature, and a spirit that faced adversity with resilience. His legacy is etched in the generations who follow, and in the stories shared by those who knew him best. He will be deeply missed, always loved, and forever remembered.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at 10AM at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA. Interment at the Lakeview Cemetery will follow. The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 from 5PM – 8PM at the funeral home.
