William L. Gorton Of Susquehanna, PA       William “Bill” Gorton, 72, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 23, 2017 at the Barnes Kasson Hospital in Susquehanna, PA. Bill was predeceased by his parents Barney and Betty (Holmes) Gorton; Brother Jim Gorton; Brother-in-laws Dick and Bob Osterhout. Surviving are his devoted wife of 52 years Marilyn (Osterhout) Gorton; Sons Carl and Kelli Gorton and Charles “Chuck” Gorton; Grandchildren Ashleigh, Shelbie and twins Amber & Derik, Step Grand Daughters Summer and Casie; Brother Walter and Carol Gorton; Sisters-in-law Vivian Gorton, Jerry Osterhout and Barbara Osterhout; a devoted Brother-in-law Ron Osterhout; plus many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Bill was a sweet, gentle soul and a proud grandfather. He was an honorary deacon of the First Baptist Church and served Oakland Township 28 years as a township supervisor. Bill was a graduate of the Susquehanna Community High School. This very special man will be greatly missed by his family. At his request there will be no calling hours.
